De Lumix S 100-500mm F5-7.1 O.I.S. verlegt de lat in \u00e9\u00e9n klap van 300 naar 500 mm.<\/p>\n<p>Met behulp van een teleconverter komen zelfs brandpuntsafstanden tot 1000 mm binnen bereik, al kan de bescheiden lichtsterkte dan wel een nadeel vormen. Een afneembare statiefgondel en Dual I.S. 2-beeldstabilisatie bieden tot op zekere hoogte soelaas. Die bescheiden lichtsterkte maakte het wel mogelijk om een compact en licht objectief te bouwen. Met een lengte van 196 millimeter en een gewicht van 1285 gram behoort deze supertelezoom tot de lichtgewichten in zijn klasse.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/zoomacademy.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/1759314163-panasonic_lumix-lens-s-r100500-with-dc-s1rii-product-image-top-kl.jpg\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zoomacademy.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/1759314163-panasonic_lumix-lens-s-r100500-with-dc-s1rii-product-image-top-kl.jpg\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>Optisch en mechanisch zijn geen compromissen gesloten. In de spatwaterdichte behuizing bevinden zich 19 elementen in 12 groepen, met inbegrip van twee UED-, twee ED- en twee UHR-elementen. Elf diafragmalamellen zorgen voor een zachte onscherpte. De kortste instelafstand varieert van 80 tot 150 centimeter, terwijl de filtermaat 82 mm bedraagt. Een snelle Dual Phase Linear Motor neemt de scherpstelling voor zijn rekening.
